7 Reasons Why No True Christian Would Vote

Below are seven (7) reasons why no true Christian would vote either in a statewide or national election.

The use of ‘would’ is explicit because it is not my intention to try and persuade those who already do so, yet call themselves Christians, that they are wrong. If ever there was a textbook picture of a hypcrite, tell a Christian they are wrong!

With respect to African American voters, and especially the older generation, they view the vote as sacrosanct having resulted from the Civil Rights movement. It does not matter that the very people they vote for, Democrats, stand directly against the Bible.

Christians Voting Co-Signs Political Evil

The Bible is very clear that if anyone does not bring the doctrine of Christ and yet we support them, we support their wickedness (2 John 1:10-11). The legal system refers to this as being an accomplice and co-conspirator.

Be warned; you will not stand before the Lord and claim; “I didn’t know God and even if I did, I only agreed with some of what they stood for. My political party was the lesser of two evils.”

Here are just a few things that both political parties participate in that directly stands against the Holy Bible:

Republicans

1. Prioritizing wealth and support of the rich over the poor: anyone who attempts to deny this is simply being intellectually dishonest (Luke 12:15).

2. Christian Nationalism: With their Bibles in one hand, guns in another, and our U.S. Constitution hanging on the wall, these quasi-Christians blend white supremacy (carried to black folk by useful black idiots like Candace Owens) with a blind belief in a political theocracy when Jesus said His servants would never fight for such a thing (John 18:36, 1 Cor. 5:12-13).

3. Affirming Abortion at the Supreme Court level multiple times since Roe v. Wade: Although the murder of children (abortion) is presented as Democrat evil, Republicans quietly support it and pretend publicly to oppose it. More plainly, and on four (4) occasions since 1973 (Roe v. Wade) a Republican majority Supreme Court affirmed its legality and/or refused to strike it down (Gen. 9:6, Exo. 20:13, 1 John 3:15).

Democrats

1. Rejection of the word ‘God’: Around 2012, the Democrat Party, led by Barack Obama, refused reference to ‘God’ which, in prior election years, was unheard of. Even the phrase ‘God-given potential’ was replaced with the secular language (Psa. 9:17, Isa. 1:4, Matt. 10:33).

2. Co-conspirators with Republicans on abortion: Democrats unashamedly support abortion yet hide it behind deceptive language such as ‘women’s health’ when 90% of women use abortion not to protect their health but as birth control.

3. Advocacy for same-sex marriage: Even the most blind Christian understands this is not what God intended, and Jesus Christ affirmed its evil (Matt. 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-9, Eph. 5:31).

Ultimately, no Christian can decide between the lesser of two evils rather should reject it in all forms (1 Thess. 5:22, Psa. 34:14).

Christians Voting Favors One Sin Over Another

Within the church, we discuss matters and come to righteous decisions according to scripture and not what tradition teaches (2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Pet. 20-21). This includes who leads a congregation, what day services are held and other Kingdom business.

Yet casting a vote, which eternally co-signs the policies of a sinful political system is another matter entirely (2 John 1:11, Rom. 1:32).

The Holy Spirit guides us in righteous choices, and the Bible says, “God tempts no man to do evil, and they do so when they are led away with their own lusts” (Jam. 1:13, 1 John 1:5).

More plainly, it is impossible for the Holy Spirit to guide one to an unrighteous decision (John 16:13, 1 Cor. 2:13). Politics is the very representation of friendship with the world which is antithetical to truth (Jam. 4:4, 1 John 2:15-17).

At no time did the Lord God instruct His followers to, for example, declare a drug addict as more righteous than an alcoholic, a Pentecostal church more righteous than a Lutheran, thus and so (Gal. 3:28, Rom. 2:11, Jam. 2:11).

A professed Christian who says, “I prayed before I went into the voting booth” isn’t led by the Spirit of God or they would have run the other direction! As it is written; “what fellowship has light with darkness or righteousness with unrighteousness" (2 Cor. 6:14, 1 John 1:6)?

Christian Voting Voting Causes Division

It is interesting that the apostle Paul spent at least twelve (12) of his thirteen (13) epistles, written to various churches and individuals, preaching unity in the Body of Christ (Eph. 4:3, Eph. 4:13, 1 Cor. 1:10, et al).

Yet the modern church teaches division as doctrine through, for example, denominationalism and willingly accepts political division as a sign of being more righteous than other Christians with an opposing view (Matt. 15:9, Mark 7:7, Col. 2:22, et al).

Whether MAGA Republicans, consisting of 90%+ white Christian Nationalists or Democrats, who enjoy 88% support among African Americans, the split is deep, wicked, and antithetical to what the true church represents.

Democrats and Republicans Both Need Jesus

Whether Black pastor Jamal Bryant, who favored Kamala Harris, or white pastors like Hank Kunneman who proclaimed Harris a Jezebel and supported Trump, the belief that the Lord Jesus is with one political party over another is false doctrine (Jer, 23:21, Ezek 13:6, Deut. 18:20, 2 Pet. 2:1, et al).

The greatest basketball player in the last forty (40) years, Michael Jordan, made a profound statement in 1990 when asked to endorse a Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate: “Republicans buy sneakers to!”

Irrespective of what deceived church leaders teach, Jesus didn’t prefer to save Jews over Gentiles and, in fact, ministered to and healed Israel’s political enemies and occupiers, Romans (John 1:11-12, Acts 2:41, Acts 10:45, Acts 13:48, et al).

Knowing this, it is interesting that a demonstrably apolitical Jesus has millions of followers who are very political and have sacrificed the peace He gives (John 16:33, John 14:27, Philipp. 4:7 et al).

Jesus never spoke out against Israel’s overlords and political enemies in Rome nor did He reject preaching to the Pharisees who would eventually have Him killed (Matt. 8:10-11, Matt. 23:37, John 18:37).

As the Bible teaches, “God is not a respecter of persons” as well as “He desires none perish and all come to repentance" (Deut. 10:17, 1 Tim. 2:4, et al).

Something has either changed with the Word of God (Jesus) or His followers. My vote is the latter because scripture teaches, “God is the same yesterday, today and forever" (Mal. 3:6, Heb. 13:8).

Christian Voting Distrust God’s Sovereignty

If voting for wicked leaders proves anything, it is that modernity believes that the Lord ‘needs our help' (Isa. 46:10, Dan. 4:35). God has never needed a fallen, sinful humanity’s participation in accomplishing anything; rather it is we who must participate in His plans!

The Bible teaches; “I, the Lord, set up and tear down leaders” and there is not one iota of biblical evidence that the Lord God said, “I, the Lord, need my people’s help in setting up and tearing down leaders because I am powerless to do it alone" (Dan. 2:21, Rom. 13:1).

Voting Produces Confusion Among Christians

The direct result of standing against what the Lord teaches is confusion (1 Cor. 14:33, Jam. 3:16). Voting for one sinner politician over another sinful politician is double mindedness (Jam. 1:8, Jam. 4:8).

How can anything a confused soul produces not be confused itself (Matt. 7:17-18, Luke 6:43-44)?

The Holy Spirit gives us a “peace which passes all understanding.” So if the voting Christian is unstable and confused, which itself indicates absence of the Holy Spirit, how can a righteous outcome result?

Clean water cannot flow from a dirty well!

Christian Voting Results in Idolatry

The totality of evil stated in the previous six (6) sections add up to one thing: idolatry. Essentially, idolatry is anything which is put in front of the Lord God, His Word and thereby His purpose (Exo. 20:3-5, 1 Cor. 10:14, et al).

Whether it is the worldwide worship of Barack Obama, and millions screaming, “Yes We Can” or the Christian Nationalists wearing the Donald Trump ‘Ear Patch’ in 2024, national politicians have taken the place of Jesus in the hearts of professed Christians.

When a candidate, or political party in general, is more important than obedience to the Bible, fake Christians have set up their own golden calf as did the Children of Israel (Exo. 32:4, Deut. 9:16).

Black folk can hardly deny that when Barack Obama became the first black President of the United States, he was viewed as a messiah of sorts. It didn’t matter that he held the godless platform of the Democrat Party (Isa. 5:20, Prov. 17:15).

All that mattered was his skin color and realizing Martin Luther King’s dream! The same is true of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement.

However, where Barack Obama stayed true to his voters and social policies, in 2025 Donald Trump immediately began betraying his voting base and more specifically U.S. military veterans.

Please Saints of the Most High God, repent of your political party affiliation before you die or God’s judgment will be catastrophic. Please, by the mercies of God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
